Notes[]

  • This is the first live action media based on Lupin III, the second being the 2014 movie that's also simply titled Lupin III and the third being the live action Inspector Zenigata series.
    • It is also the first time Lupin appeared theatrically and technically counts as Lupin's first movie overall (if not counting the Pilot Film), preceding Lupin VS the Clone by 4 years.
  • As with most early Lupin media, it's one of the few times Koichi Zenigata's name was Heiji Zenigata VII. It is also one of the few Lupin media to reference the "Lupin empire" that was prominent in the early years of the original manga.
  • This is one of the only two Lupin related movies to not feature Goemon, the other being Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone, although in Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone Goemon was referenced at the opening.
